Attention WNV Conference Attendees:

You are Invited to Attend a Special Avian Influenza Surveillance Session

"Coordinated Approach to Avian Influenza Bird Surveillance"
Friday February 24 2006 2:00pm-5:30pm

The WNV conference organizers invite you to attend a special afternoon session on avian influenza surveillance in bird populations on Friday afternoon February 24 from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. This meeting will be of particular interest to State WNV Coordinators, State Public Health Veterinarians, and State Epidemiologists who are already involved in similar activities for WNV surveillance. The purpose of this meeting is to answer your questions about the national strategy for avian influenza surveillance in birds, and to ensure that public health and animal health agencies develop a coordinated approach for bird surveillance.

Please check the West Nile Virus Conference web site in January. As speakers are identified and more information is available, this announcement will be updated. There will be no additional registration cost to attend this session.
